Porsche Motorsport North America is the Porsche factory division that supports customer racing activities throughout the world. Increasing numbers of Porsche teams competing in U.S. road racing required that the Germany-based Porsche AG had to find a way to provide sufficient support in North America. In an effort to better serve its loyal customers with the necessary parts and service and to ensure success, Porsche AG subsequently formed Porsche Motorsport North America (PMNA) in 1983. Porsche is the only manufacturer that offers this kind of professional service to all customers through the PMNA home base in Santa Ana, California, and at the race tracks by utilizing the PMNA Motorsport parts truck.
